There aren't too many books around that document the stories
that are told in the book They Must Not Be Forgotten. Stories
like Father Nicacci helping Jews flee from Italy, Sister Alfonsa
who toiled tirelessly to assure the safety of Jewish children,
or Father Sztark whose commitment to saving Jewish lives
began by taking the hand of a child.

Time and time again you will marvel at the bravery and
utter lack of prejudice of the Catholic Priests and Nuns
who put their lives on the line everyday so their fellow
humans would be safe.

This is the second book written by Rogow concerning
the Holocaust. Her first book is Quiet Courage relating
stories of heroic teenager and their part in helping to
save people from Nazi persecution. And what has
Rogow learned by writing these two books?
"The world needs to remember how easy it is to
terrorize and destroy society. All people must be
treated with dignity and respect for human rights.
To do less is to open the door to terrorism," says
Rogow.

Is this or is this not fiction? In this day and age, with new
facts about our very existence being questioned and new
biblical discoveries being unearthed, who can say,
beyond any doubt, that this book is fiction?

Bettye Johnson, author of Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, began
writing this book shortly after a trip to France with a friend.
"We visited the Languedoc region of the Pyrenees where
I became enthralled with the Black Madonnas. When I came
home I made a decision to write about Mary Magdalene.
I learned that there is almost no history available that is
reliable from the time of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
It became a journey of discovery for me and I
learned that Pope Gregory, around 500 C.E., made a
decision to portray her as a prostitute and a whore."
After much research, Johson just knew that she had
the makings of an interesting and controversial book.

Johnson also has a continuing interest in symbols and the
knowledge that she has gained over the years enabled her
to decipher what she calls "the obvious unobvious that
unaware people miss."
